Idyllic landscapes of this village in the valley of the river Bistrica hide rich and interesting history. The first bulb has lit up in the area of the whole region.
Soon after it the first radio came here so that many people of Bijelo Polje gathered at nights in Bistrica to listen to the news together .There were numerous mills built up in the village near the river. In the late XIX century, there also appeared the fist pubs (kahve) so it is the old name for the village -Kahve.
Bistrica is well known to long-lived Hasanbegovića villa destroyed in the middle of 70s of the last century. Three-floor villa has only managed to survive all rebellions and wars because there were two families of different religions that lived peacefully there. “Nobody touched it being kept by two religions.”
